It's hard to believe it is already the last month of school. It feels like this year just flew by. This month, we will be having a Superhero Party. We will be learning about shapes in math and will have do Ice Cream reading. It's been a wonderful year in Room 6. I have enjoyed having all of you in my room and look forward to seeing you next year!
We have a great month to look forward to in Room 6! This month, we will be celebrating Earth Day and discussing reduce, reuse, recycle in science. We also, will have a visit from Evie, the recycle dog! There will be a visit to cMoe in the middle of the month. Finally, we will be learning about the rainforest and will present our Rainforest Plays.
Happy spring! This month we will be doing a lot of interesting things in Room 6. First, we will celebrate Dr. Seuss Day at the beginning of the month. We will also celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Our annual Room 6 Hat Parade will be taking place right before Spring Break. In science, we will be learning about the tropical rainforest.
It's February! As we continue the second semester, we have many exciting things to look forward to. We will be celebrating Chinese New Year this month. We also will be celebrating Valentine's Day with math and science stations. In Science, we will continue learning about living things.
Happy New Year! It is the beginning of 2016 and the beginning of a new semester. There are many exciting things to look forward to this month. We will begin the month by having Pirate Day to help us learn the "ar" sound. Also, we will be celebrating the 100th Day of School. In science, we will continue to learn about living things and will explore habitats. In social studies, we will be learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The end of the first semester is almost here! December is always an exciting time of year with the holiday season upon us. This month, we will be starting our Christmas Around the World unit and will be building and decorating gingerbread houses. We will also be celebrating Polar Express Day. In science, we will be exploring living things. As this year comes to an end, I hope that everyone enjoys their Winter Break and has a very happy holiday season.
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble...It's November! We have a month of exciting things coming in November. We will begin with Veteran's Day and voting. Also, we will be learning about Native Americans and Pilgrims. Mickey Mouse's Birthday will be happening mid-month! We will finish out November with Craft Day and our Thanksgiving Plays.
It's October! Outside, the temperature is dropping, the leaves are changing colors and you can smell the Fall Festival all the way from Franklin Street. We have a lot of exciting things planned for our first month of fall. We will be learning about nursery rhymes and fairy tales. In science, we will finally get to explore different types of compost and begin to learn about living things. We also we will be doing our clothing drive for Hangers as our first 21st Century project. At the end of the month, we will learn about spiders, bats and owls. We will end the month with Pumpkin Week!
We have a lot of exciting things to look forward to this month in Room 6! School is in full swing and fall is right around the corner. This month, we will continue to learn about the Daily 5. We will celebrate all things apple with Apple Week at the end of the month.
It's hard to believe that summer is coming to an end and another year is beginning! We have a lot of exciting things to look forward to this month. The first few weeks we will be reviewing procedures and learning the daily activities of Room 6 such as the Daily 5. Also, we will be celebrating Dot Day. This is always an exciting time of year. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone at Open House and starting a fantastic year in Room 6!
